About Paris Explorer Pass
Paris. The city of light. The city of love.
It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. In fact, it is one of the most popular destinations in the world. Whether it's the iconic architecture, world-class museums, or culinary delights, there are dozens of reasons to visit France's famous capital. As you might expect, there are also dozens of ways to spend money! Like many big cities in Western Europe, Paris isn't exactly one of the cheapest places to travel. If you're heading to Paris and hoping to see some of the city's most popular attractions, a sightseeing pass may be just what you need.
The Go Paris Explorer Pass is a tourist card that gives travelers access to some of Paris' top attractions for a fixed (and super-reduced) price.
Like the Go New York Explorer Pass and the London Explorer Pass, this pass offers access to a select number of attractions. You can choose a three, five or seven attraction pass that will be valid for 30 days after first use.
Not sure what your trip will bring? Don't worry, you don't have to choose your attractions in advance. The Go Paris Explorer Pass offers access to over 25 attractions, and you choose which ones you'd like to visit as you go.
How does it work? The Go Paris Explorer Pass comes with a unique code that you can print out in advance or extract on your smartphone. Just show your code at the door of your desired attraction and enter.
The Go Paris Explorer Pass includes admission to over 25 activities and attractions in Paris, including:
- Experience bohemian Paris
- Secret Paris: Cheese, Art and Local Life
- Eiffel Tower (second floor)
- Big Bus Paris Hop-On 1-Day Tour, Hop OFF /li>
- Montmartre Walking Tour
- Les Caves du Louvre wine tasting
- BAPBAP Brewery Tour and Taproom Experience
- Grevin Museum
- Aquarium of Paris - Cineaqua
- Montparnasse Tower
- Cruise on the Seine
- Stade de France
- paris story
The Paris Pass actually includes three separate passes:
- Paris attractions pass
- The Paris Museum Pass
- The Paris Visite travel card
The Paris Attractions Pass includes about half the attractions as the Go Paris Explorer Pass, with most overlapping. What sets the Go Paris Explorer Pass apart are the two high-value tasting and walking tours and the Eiffel Tower. That's a big deal, as the Eiffel Tower is a very popular tourist destination, and its regular price is €45. Please note that the Paris Attractions Pass is integrated into the Paris Pass and is not available to purchase alone.
The Paris Museum Pass offers access to more than 60 museums and monuments in Paris. Its price is based on unlimited access to all the museums in the pass for two (€52), four (€66) or six (€78) days. It is included in the Paris Pass, but can also be purchased on its own. High-profile museums found on the Museum Pass (but notably absent from the Paris Go Explorer Pass) include the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Palace of Versailles, and many more.
The Paris Visite Travelcard offers cardholders unlimited travel on Paris' extensive public transport system. It covers zones 1-3, which basically means the center of Paris. The Travelcard is included with the Paris Pass but can also be purchased separately.
Save money on sightseeing
The most important reason to buy tourist passes is to save money on admission to the city's top attractions. So if you're interested in some of the more expensive options included in the Go Paris Explorer Pass, you can definitely save some money.
see the eiffel tower
Unlike the Paris Pass, the Go Paris Explorer Pass includes access to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. This is a pretty cool feature of the pass, in my opinion. The tower is iconic, and first-time visitors almost always want to see it. Also, at €45, it's expensive. So if you want to see the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, this pass offers good value.
Hop-On, Hop OFF Big Bus Tour (HOHO)
The Big Bus Paris Hop-On 1-Day Tour, Hop OFF is an amazing way to explore the city and learn about its history. Passengers can hop on and off at any stop along the route, so it's also a means of getting from one place to another. It's not as efficient as public transport, of course, but it does come with a view and a tour guide, which is pretty cool.
First-time visitors: If this is your first time in Paris, you'll probably enjoy some of the more expensive options included on the Go Paris Explorer Pass: a walking tour, the Eiffel Tower, and the HOHO bus tour.
