Discovery+ promo code - October 2026

The standard tier includes short ad breaks during programming but costs less per month than the ad-free option. You still get full access to the entire library - sports, lifestyle, nature, and factual entertainment - so it's a solid pick if you don't mind occasional commercials and want to keep your streaming budget low

Picking the yearly plan instead of month-to-month works out cheaper across a full year of streaming. You get the same catalogue of shows - think Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, and local NZ content - but pay one upfront sum rather than twelve separate charges. Ideal if you already know you'll be watching long-term

New subscribers can stream Discovery channel content - including reality TV, true crime, and documentaries - free for a week before any payment kicks in. Just sign up with an email and payment method; cancel before day seven to avoid being charged. No commitment required after the trial ends
