American Express promo code - October 2026

Qualifying American Express cardholders can add extra cards for partners or family members at no additional annual cost. Each supplementary cardholder earns rewards at the same rate as the primary account while sharing the credit limit. Not every Amex product includes this perk, so confirm eligibility on your specific card's benefits page

American Express periodically runs welcome offers where approved applicants earn extra rewards points after hitting a set spend threshold within the first few months. Those points can go toward travel bookings, retail vouchers, or statement credit. The exact points bonus and spend target vary by card, so compare the current offers on each product page

New Card Members approved for eligible Amex products skip the annual fee for the first 12 months. The waiver only applies to specific cards shown on the NZ site - not every product qualifies. From year two the standard fee applies, so check the terms on each card's application page before committing

The travel credit applies automatically to qualifying purchases like airline tickets hotel stays and ride shares - you do not need to enroll or activate it separately and unused credit does not roll over so plan your travel spending to maximize the full 200 value each calendar year
