How does Afterpay work?

With Installments by Afterpay, you can shop today and pay in four equal payments every 2 weeks, interest free. They accept both Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards issued in your country of residence. You won't be able to pay with foreign issued cards with overseas banks, or pre-paid cards.

How do I use Installments by Afterpay?

Shop your favourite pieces and head to the checkout as normal, then choose 'Installments by Afterpay' as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details. If you're a returning customer, just log in and you're good to go. Your first payment will be around 2 weeks after the date you placed your order.

A maximum spend of $1,500 AUD applies to every order, and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify. Afterpay is an independent payment company, and Farfetch has no influence over whether your payment will be accepted.

Can I use Installments by Afterpay if I'm an international customer?

You'll only be able to use Afterpay if you have an Australian billing address.

How do the installments work?

Your first payment is taken when you place your order. The three remaining payments will then be taken automatically every 2 weeks from your chosen credit or debit card. When will I get my order if I use Installments by Afterpay?

If you place an order with Afterpay, our standard delivery time will still apply according to your selected shipping method.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on one order?

Yes, there's a limit of $1500 AUD per order.

How do I return or exchange an item I bought with Installments by Afterpay?

To return an item, you can still use our standard returns process. Your refund will be sent to your original payment method, excluding the delivery costs. You can find more information about our returns policy on our Returns and Refunds page.

How much will I be charged for shipping?

This varies depending on the size, weight and destination of your chosen items, and the cost will appear at the checkout. The good news is we offer One Shipping Fee for orders above a certain threshold - this means you can purchase multiple pieces from multiple locations for one fee.

Do you offer same day delivery?

We offer a same day delivery service in some of the world's major cities - including Berlin, London, Manchester, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Hong Kong SAR, Dubai and Shanghai - when you shop from a Farfetch partner in that city. Simply order before 11am to receive delivery that same day, and after 11am for the next business day.

When will I receive my item and how can I track delivery?

Once your order is confirmed, we'll dispatch it within 2 business days. Delivery takes 2-7 business days, depending on your location and chosen shipping method. If you ordered from multiple Farfetch partners, your items will arrive separately and you'll receive separate delivery notifications.

Will I need to pay taxes and duties?

Farfetch ships to the following destinations on a DDP (Delivery Duties Paid) basis:

European Union, The United Kingdom, USA, Canada, China Mainland, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Qatar, Israel, India, Lebanon, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan Region, Thailand, U.A.E, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain - Canary Islands, Hong Kong SAR, Egypt, Isle of Man and San Marino.

This means that all applicable taxes and duties are included in the final purchase price when you place your order and there are no additional costs due upon delivery.

If a DAP (Delivery At Place) destination is selected, the price you pay to Farfetch will exclude all relevant import duties and sales taxes. As the recipient, you'll need to instead pay these directly to our carrier to release your order from customs upon arrival.

For US customers, Farfetch does not collect sales or use tax in all states. Your purchase may be subject to sales or use tax, unless your state is exempt from taxation. Many states require a sales/use tax return filing at the end of the year for taxable purchases that were not taxed (including internet purchases) and payment of use tax on those purchases.

Why can't certain items be shipped to me?

While Farfetch ships internationally, the brands on our site can determine where their pieces are distributed - so some may not be available to purchase in all regions. A selection of beauty products and exotic items may also be restricted by local customs in the country you are shipping to.
